Jub Clerc based her debut film partly on her experiences as an indigenous teenager. Loving and heartfelt film set against a backdrop of stunning Australian landscapes.
15-year-old indigenous Murra lives in Western Australia. Her uncle, a police officer, sends her on a "photo safari for at-risk youth" so she can get away from her mother for a while. Murra does not feel like experimenting with photo cameras at first, but then clicks with Kylie, Sean, Elvis, and the camp counselors anyway. Along the way, the teenagers learn about fun, friendship, first loves and self-acceptance.
